I am a big fan of e.l.f‘s products. Everything that I’ve tried so far is high quality and super cheap! Today I’m going to go through each product that I’ve tried, and highlight all of the pros and cons.
I have actually only used this product once, but I really like it so far! The colour is really pretty, and I love the sparkle. The only problem I could see with this is a lack of pigmentation, but I use a pretty light hand with contouring so it could just be me.
This product actually has a tragic story to go with it. When our neighbours were over I was asked to contour one of them, just for fun. As I was grabbing my makeup bag from the cabinet this palette fell out. Everything fell apart besides the bronzer. My sister transferred another contour palette into the container, but it isn’t the same. I would give this object a 9.5/10, with the slight drawback of not handling falls from high distances very well.
I may not be the most qualified person to answer this since this is the only powder I’ve used. However, I think it’s a pretty good product. My foundation doesn’t move nearly as much as it used to, and the lack of excess oil on my forehead is noticeable. The packaging could be better since sometimes the powder escapes past the powder puff sometimes. That sure makes opening this a gamble! All in all, it’s a good product.
This is another product that comes with a sad story. I’m not sure if this happened before or after I bought it, but the lash mascara end of the tube was cracked when I got home. There was no product in that end, and I struggled to even get the brush out of the tube. However, the brow mascara end was fine, and I use it with no problem. I never really used my brow product without this, so I can’t say how it affects the wax. This does help keep my brows neat and in line, though. The product doesn’t last very long, though. I’ve had mine for a little over a month and I’m very close to out. I doubt I’ll last the rest of the week. If there’s a sale on this one, stock up – you’ll need it!
This is my favourite brow product to date. I only use the wax, since the powder is the wrong colour, and a bit tricky to use. The powder actually kind of sucks in my experience, but the wax is a godsend. I apply it using an eyelash brush, just rolling it in the wax and brushing it through my eyebrows. It works really well, darkening without looking fake. If I ever have any sparse patches I just use a brush to fill them in with the wax. This is probably my favourite product of this post.
I have this in the shade “Natural”. This is a really pretty shade, and it goes well with my ghostly pale skin! It is really easy to apply. The only downside is that I have pretty dry lips, and it settles into the lines of my lips. It wears off pretty fast for me, although I haven’t found a lipstick that doesn’t yet. I think continuous eating and drinking may be bad for lipstick, but maybe it’s my imagination!
This is the only e.l.f. brush I have, but I think I have to buy some more! It makes my powder foundation go on really smoothly. Some fibres do come out, but it’s rare. Maybe one or two individual fibres a week. I’m very satisfied with this brush!
That’s all of my e.l.f products! I think e.l.f. is a great brand, especially for the prices they charge. Cheap makeup is hard to find, so keep the winners close! After scouring their site to get the links for this post I realised how much I need an online shopping spree. There are only two places in my city that sell e.l.f. and neither sells very much. Could there be an e.l.f. haul post coming soon? Maybe…
If there are any e.l.f products you recommend please tell me about them in the comments! If you are a fan of any other low-budget makeup, please share your secrets. I am in desperate need of some new resources!
